Advantage of Low Bed Trailer

Low bed trailers are the "Hercules" of the heavy transport industry. Unlike ordinary flatbed trailers, they employ a concave beam (or stepped) structure, resulting in a very low load-bearing surface.

With a loading platform height typically only 800mm-1200mm (significantly lower than the 1500mm+ of ordinary trailers), low-bed trailers can transport extremely tall equipment (such as large excavators and tunnel boring machines), easily navigating bridges, tunnels, and power lines, avoiding height violations.

The low center of gravity is the biggest safety advantage of low-bed trailers. When transporting heavy machinery weighing tens of tons, the low center of gravity significantly reduces swaying during travel and the risk of rollover when turning, making them particularly suitable for uneven gravel roads or mining roads in places like Zimbabwe.

Low bed trailers are constructed using high-strength steel (such as Q345B or HG60) and the load can be distributed by increasing the number of axles (3 axles, 4 axles, or even multiple axles). The load capacity range is typically from 30 tons to 150 tons or even higher.

Low bed trailers are typically equipped with a reinforced rear ladder (mechanical or hydraulic), and tracked or wheeled equipment can drive directly onto the loading platform from the rear.
